It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, Freeman James Pennell, of Lark Harbour, NL at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center, on Monday, December 16th, 2024 at the age of 93 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife of 70 years: Beatrice; their five children: Julia (Wayne), Murray (Marina), Brenda (Barry), Colleen (Robert), and Corey (Tammy); 12 grandchildren: 18 great-grandchildren: one great-great-grandchild; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews; especially his new-found nephew: Rick Betts (Sandee), his extended relatives, and many, many friends.

Freeman is predeceased by his parents: George and Annie Pennell; brothers: Roland (Rebecca), John (Ruby), Wilfred (Olive), Foster (Barb), and Ralph (Dossie); and his sisters: Dorothy (Reginald), and Hazel (Dominick).

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center, especially his granddaughter Michelle, for their endless care and compassion shown to our dear father during his time of need. Also, to Reverend Effie Organ for your countless visits and support you've provided through this difficult journey.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Freeman's memory to a charity of one's choice.
