It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Frederick Robert Best announce his passing on October 16th, 2024 at the Western Long Term-Palliative Care Unit at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 33 years: Trudy; his daughter: Stacy Best-Dohar (Dave); sons: Freddy Best, and Jeff Best; 15 grandkids: Tyler, Ryan, Jenna, Noah, Michael, Paige, Jeffrey, June, Jason, Natalie, Olivia, Mason, Hailey, Ethan, and Riley; three great-grand daughters; and one great-grandson on the way; special niece: Shelly Best; brothers: Gilbert Best (Margarette), William Best (Rhoda), Dave Best (Lorraine), Paul Best (Norma), and Greg Best (Catherine); sisters: Emma Best-Kennedy, Violet Rukutis (Kurt), and Jean Cooke (Greg); brother-in-law: Calvin Park; and sisters-in-law: Maxine Payne (Don), Lori Crane, and Carroll Best; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Fred is predeceased by his parents: Elizabeth and George Best; son: Jason Best; brothers: Ollie Best, John Best, Gordon Sonny Best; sister: Betty Best; mother-in-law: Glorina Park; brothers-in-law: Ivan Park, Hilliard Crane, and Lawrence Sheppard; and sister-in-law: Linda Park.

There will be a visitation held on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox's Cove, from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, October 21st, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. George Critchell and Pastor Canning officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Fred's memory to a charity of one's choice.
