Surrounded by her loving family, Florence Day peacefully passed away on Monday, May 9 ^th , 2022 at Western Long-Term Care, in Corner Brook, NL, in her 79 ^th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband, Ron of 59 years; daughter: Jeanette (Robert); son: Tony (Lisa); daughter: Donna; son: Brian (Wanda); grandchildren: Roland, Jeffrey, Brandon, and Megan; as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Also leaving to mourn, her sisters: Mary, Theresa, Minnie, Dot, Sadie (Randy), and Sylvia (Randy) McKinnon; brothers: Russell, Alex, Archiel (Lindy), and Danny (Paulette). Florence was predeceased by her parents: Alice and Archibald McKinnon; sisters: Shirley and Margaret; brothers: Jimmey, Johney, Joe, Allen, and Angus. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Western Long-Term Care, second floor, Shoreview, for all the loving care provided to our mother.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 ^th , 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM; Thursday, May 12 ^th , 2022, from the hours of 2-4 PM & 7-9PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 13 ^th , 2022 at 2:00 PM from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at Mount Patricia Cemetery, at 2:00 PM.
