It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Ernest "Shawn" Gillam announce his peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on November 30 ^th , 2022 at the age of 60 years.Left to mourn are his sons: Joshua (Nicole), and Christopher (Lilly), and their mother Anita; sister: Helen Park; sisters-in-law: Kay Gillam, Verna Gillam, and Marina Gillam; brother-in-law: Raleigh Sheppard; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

Shawn is predeceased by his parents: Ernest (Gus) and Lida Gillam; brothers: John, Melvin, Percy, and Durrell; sisters: Masie Gillam, and Alice Sheppard; brother-in-law: Joseph (Joe) Park; nephew: Dana Sheppard; and niece: Alison Chisholm.

Cremation to take place. There will be a visitation held on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at 1 PM at St. James Anglican Church in Gillams, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM with Rev. Critchell officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Shawn's memory to the St. James Anglican Church.
