There will be a celebration of Eric's life taking place on July 19, 2025 from the hours of 2-5 PM at the Massey Drive Town Hall (85 Massey Drive). A private ceremony for family will take place later that evening.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Brake announce his passing on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024, at the age of 82, in the Palliative Care unit surrounded by his loving family after a long struggle with dementia. Eric was a loving Husband, Father, Pop and Gpop.

Eric leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 61 years: Dar (Lillian Stuckless); son: Terry Brake (Donna); daughter: Joanne Hann (Brian); grandchildren: Zachary Brake (Rosalie), Noah Brake, Adam Cunning (Brittiany), Troy Hann (Megan), Elisse Angelo (Evan), Tony Brake (Shannon), Lance Felker (Nicole), and Robyn Felker (Mike Rossyan); great-grandchildren: Logan Cunning-Thompson, Chase Cunning, Brodie Brake, Brooklyn Brake, Ella Rossyan and James Rossyan; brothers: Wilbur, and Allan; sister: Mildred Shears; sisters-in-law: Annie, Vi, Juanita, Marion, and Jan; and brother-in-law: Art (Doreen), and Carl.

Eric was predeceased by his parents: Sidney and Wilhelmina Brake; brothers: Gerald, Aubrey, Max and Jim; sisters: Una White, Hilda Payne, Millicent Ford, and Evelyn Gardiner; and daughter: Annette Brake Felker.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. There will be a graveside service taking place at 1 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Townsite Anglican Cemetery, Montgomerie Street, Corner Brook, NL . As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Eric's memory to the Alzheimer's Society or the SPCA.
