It is with great sadness that the family of Ellie Bertha May Whiteway (Stumpf) announces her peaceful passing with her two sisters by her side on December 11, 2021, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

She leaves to mourn her loving father James "Pop" Whiteway, sisters Bernice King (Brian) and Gloria LaSaga (David), and brother John Whiteway; her sons Shawn, Gerald (Cindy) and Manfred; her dear grandchildren Breanna (Ryan), Brittany (Jamie), MacKenzie (Josh), Sydney (Nikolaus), Jeremy, Jonah, Jared, and her first great-grandson Silas; a large circle of nieces and nephews; and special friends Mary Loder and Drusilla Hawkins.

Ellie was predeceased by her mother Muriel Whiteway, brothers James Junior and Charles, special uncle Eric, and nephews Jonathan and Christopher.

As per Ellie's request cremation has taken place.  There will be a private family service to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
