After a short battle with cancer and a lengthy battle with mental health, we are saddened to announce the passing of our mom, Ellen Marie McCarthy (White) on September 6, 2024 one day shy of her 91st birthday.

She leaves to mourn seven children; James (Sharon), Jerry (Ruby), Marie (Gill), Paul (Sheila), Nancy (Tim), Wayne, Joy (Kerry).  Twelve grandchildren; Christopher, Sharon, Celeste, Trevor, Tenille, Lisa, Gail, Jill, Angelica, Andrew, Clint, Nicole and Sabrina.

Ellen is predeceased by all her siblings; Richard, Urban, John, Hughie, Harry, Marie, Joan and Catherine.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Westmount Estates and the Palliative Care Unit.

As per Ellen's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service is being arranged.
