Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce our dear mother's passing on Monday, March 9 th , 2020 at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, "her girls" Elaine (Gene) Hall and Sherry (Keith) Kean. Her dearly loved grandchildren: Trudy Ann Singh (Chris Foley), Chrissy (Jonathan) Payne, Tyler Kean (Jennifer Ryles), and Chelsea Kean (Keith Rogers). Her great grandsons that brought her so much joy, Jonas and Elijah Payne. Gertie Brake her sister in law. Mom leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her good friend Annie Greene and niece Pearl McCarthy, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Eddie and her oldest "girl" Sheila. Parents Fred and Beatrice Bartlett, siblings Neal (Olive) and Jean (d.Elmo) Rowsell. Ella was a devoted wife and mother, she guided and taught her family well. She was a caregiver, the family historian, and poet. Ella had a sense of humour like no other. Mom loved to knit, mainly Christmas stockings that are found in homes all over the world. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Coleman and his staff, Protective Care Bungalow 2, and the Palliative Care Unit, for their care and compassion shown to our mother. In keeping with moms wishes there will be no visitation and a funeral service to take place at the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2pm with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
