October 30, 1939 – September 26, 2025
It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Elizabeth Shirley White announce her sudden passing at her private residence on September 26, 2025, at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her immediate family: Danny White (Debe), Vickey Brake (Bruce), Debbie Stanford (Glenn), Kathy Mitchell, Kerry White (Penny), and Shirley Park (Jamie); brothers and sisters: Calvin Brake (Joan), Dawn Hickey (Art), Vernon Brake (Myrtle), Baxter Brake (Loretta), and Suzanne Neibauer (Ken); brother-in-law: Joe Noseworthy; her grandchildren: Tara, Danielle, Kyle, Sarah, Bruce Jr., Brandon, Jessica, Melissa, Sean Mitchell, Jordan, Ryan, and Cameron; and great-grandchildren: Daniel, Evelyn, Ayden, Bella, Maci, Madelyn, Lexi, Theo, Chloe, Kayden, and Nate; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends, especially her card playing buddies.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband: William "Bill" White; grandson: Stephen Brake; and her brothers and sisters: Charles Brake, Whyonna White, Marie Park, Utley Brake, Lulubelle Noseworthy, and Melba Lewis.
There will be a visitation taking place on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation (Cardiac Unit).
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Elizabeth's caregiver, Pansy "Pam" Caines for her endless care and support of our dear loved one.
