Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of the late Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Howe announces her passing on Tuesday, July 20 th , 2021 at the age of 83 years.  She leaves to mourn with her fond and loving memories her three sons, Corey(Cheryl), Victoria, BC, Brian(Stephanie), Corner Brook, NL and Tony(Donna), Kitchener, ON; six grandsons: Blake, Jordan, Nicolas, David, Kyle and Justin as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Patrick (Jean)Scanlon, Darius (Ellen) Scanlon, John Scanlon, Maureen(Ivan) Rumbolt, Jeanette Caines(Darrin) and sister-in-law Ellen Scanlon.  Brothers-in law: Edwin(Gertrude)Howe, Stan(Josephine) Howe and sisters-in-law, Marie Howe and Elizabeth Howe as well as a large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Elizabeth(Betty) was predeceased by their husband Cecil Howe, her parents William and Frances Scanlon, sister Beatrice Patey, brothers Amard Scanlon and Donald Scanlon and brothers-in-law, Frank Howe, Harold Howe, Thomas Howe and Roy Howe.

Friends and family may visit Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22 nd ,2021 from 2-4 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23 rd , 2021 at 11 am from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Father Lee Lainey officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Western NL-SPCA or a charity of one's choice.  Special thanks to staff at Mountainview Estates Retirement Home and the Doctors and nurses at Western Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care.
