We, the family of the late Elizabeth (Betty ) Brake, would like to thank all who phoned, visited, sent cards, messages of condolences, and food during our recent loss.  Thank you to those who sent flowers and made donations in her memory. Special thanks to staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care- Raspberry Road  for caring for our mother with dignity and respect. We will be forever grateful.Thank you to Dr. Wadhwa for his care over the past number of years. Thank you to Country Haven for your professionalism and  support during this difficult time. Last but not least , thank you to Candace for playing the piano, Tyler, Sherwin, Stacey, Ben, Parker and Jack for honoring Nan's wishes and carrying her to her final resting place.

It is with great sadness the family of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Brake announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care facility on January 10, 2025 in her 83rd year. Left to mourn with wonderful memories are her beloved children; Debbie Sears (Melvin), Barry Brake (Cynthia), and Donna Brake Baldwin. Cherished by her grandchildren; Chantelle Sears, Sherwin Sears (Lynette), Elizabeth Sears (Kyle Price), Tyler Brake, Candace Kostenuk (Colin), Stacey Brake (Karen), Parker Brake (Trinity Sears), Stefany Adams, Ben Adams (Siobhan), Jack Baldwin. Great-grandchildren; Hannah, Keira, Max, Raya, Theo, Kyler, Haley, Henry, Lydia, Julia and Owen. Leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is predeceased by her husband; Derrick, infant son; John. Parents Stanley and Susannah House and all her siblings.

There will be a visitation at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday January 15th 2025, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday January 16th 2025 at 2PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Steve Shultz and Dale Shultz officiating. Interment to follow at Batstone's Road cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or a donation in her memory can be made to Ronald McDonald House or Alzheimer's Society.

The funeral service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to be in attendence.
