It is with heavy hearts to announce the untimely passing of Eliza Ethel Parsons. She passed away at the Western Memorial Pallative Care Unit on March 31st, 2023 at the age of 58. Born in Corner Brook, Eliza moved to Toronto at age 16 to live a vibrant and fulfilling life with her partner Charles Debattista. Together, they had one child that would become the light of their life. They moved back to Newfoundland in 2012. She leaves behind to mourne her son Thomas DeBattista and his wife Kaylee Sullivan, her brother Basil (Sue), sister Angela, brother Tim (Francene), brother-in-law Vikram Bhandari. Eliza was predeceased by Charles Debattista her partner of 34 years, parents Hazel and Loyal, and her sister Tiffany Bhandari. Eliza will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Especially by her card buddies with whom gave her great joy. We would also like to share a special thank you to her home care workers Trina Fradsham and Pauline Morgan. We will remember her fondly when we play darts and gather for a game of cards. At Eliza's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
