It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elaine Fost at Western Memorial Hospital on April 3, 2021. Elaine is survived by her Daughter: Lori (Rob Abbott), her precious Grandchildren: Livy and Benjamin Abbott, Son: Kerry, Sister: Rowena (Rod) Tucker, Brothers: David, (Vi) Roberts, Keith (Elaine) Roberts, Brother-in-law: Jim (Jen) Fost as well many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and many lifelong friends. Elaine is predeceased by her Father and Mother: John and Marjorie Roberts, Parents-in laws: Harrison and Elsie Fost, Brother Barry Roberts and  Wallace Fost, father of her two children. Elaine was born in Corner Brook and has lived there all of her life. Those of you who knew Elaine knew she was a very important part of the community. She is well known for her volunteer work in Corner Brook, especially with the Girl Guides of Canada, the Corner Brook Winter Carnival, St. Michael's and all Angels Anglican Church and the VON Daycare Centre, where she both worked and volunteered for over 20 years. Elaine was a kind and thoughtful person who always put the needs of others before her own, she was always in the kitchen willing to lend a hand or to take over if needed. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed an opportunity to share photos and brag about her grandchildren. In addition to her family, another one of Elaine's joys was her church and her ACW sisters, many of whom she has known for most of her life.   The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Western Memorial Regional Hospital especially those in the outpatient department, 3A and the ICU for the kindness and support they gave Elaine and her family. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family viewing and funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from St. Michael and All Angels  Park Drive Corner Brook with Reverend Edward King officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church in Corner Brook.
