It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother Eileen in her 87th year of life after a short battle with cancer. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters Vicki Brake (Tim) and Catherine Cooke (Mark). Her "favorite" grandson Christopher Tipple (Alicia). Granddaughters Alex Brake (Ryan), Jodi Brake (Gregory), Kaitlin Cooke (Ryan) and Samantha Hutchings (Byron). Seven great-grandchildren and her siblings; Marjorie Teichert, Peggy Fitzpatrick, Gord (Joyce) Northcott, Lew (Verna), Harold (Sandra), Jerry (Sandra), Roy (Cynthia) and Karen Northcott. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Lewis and Margaret Northcott, her husband Alec Snelgrove and her daughter Joanne. As well as her sister Edna and brother Bill.

After the passing of her daughter Joanne in 1998, our mom dedicated many years to the Hospital Foundation in an effort to improve the quality of care for cancer patients and their families. When not fundraising, she loved entertaining family and friends. She was known to spend time at the YMCA till her 80th birthday and she loved to play bridge with her friends. We would like to thank the ER and Palliative Care Staff for their support, compassion and kindness to our mom and family through this difficult time.

As per Eileens wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be no formal visitation or funeral at this time. In lieu of flowers, mom would appreciate donations to be made to the Cancer Society in her name.
