It is with broken hearts that the family, of the late Eileen Victoria Reid (nee Wight), announce her passing in her 80th year at the Bonne Bay Hospital in Norris Point on Sunday May 11, 2025 (Mother's Day). Leaving to mourn are her husband of sixty years, Aaron; her daughters, Shelley (Glenn) and Sherry (Brett), and her son, Shawn (Molly); her precious fur baby: Missy; sister Madeline (Ross); brothers Howard, Clyde, and Kevin (Hughena); and grandchildren Joshua and MJ in British Columbia; Lucas in Meadows; Caitlin in Corner Brook, Megan in Benoit's Cove, Jennifer in Deer Lake, and Kyle in Reidville, as well as five great grandchildren.

Eileen was always a hard-working individual who enjoyed a game of cards or darts. Her family was the center of her life. She loved being a part of a musical family who enjoyed getting together for a sing-along. She worked for years as a cook in Rocky Harbor and Norris Point. Her family would joke that she could even make a baked rubber boot taste good. Her passing was sudden yet peaceful. The care she received at the Bonne Bay Hospital will forever be appreciated and remembered.

As per Eileen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life is planned with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Eileen's memory to your local SPCA.
