It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Patrick Roche announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Scott Roche (Tina), Julie Francis (Jeremy Wheeler), and Devon Francis; grandchildren: Lucas & Layah Wheeler, Danielle Roche (Liam), Ryan Roche (Amanda), and Matthew Roche (Mackenzie); siblings: Jim Roche (Linda), and Margie Roche; niece and nephews: Lisa, Todd, Jamie, and Darren; and good buddies: Fred Laing, and Butch Cole; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends.

Ed was predeceased by his parents: James and Elizabeth Roche; brothers: Lawrence Roche, and Frank Roche; and baby grandson: Logan Wheeler.

In following Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Ed's memory to the Canadian Lung Association (  https://www.lung.ca/)  or a charity of one's choice.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Grant, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU and 5th floor-D unit for their kindness and compassion shown to our dear loved one.
