It is with much sadness that the family of the late Edward Motty announce his sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, on Sunday, April 24 ^th , 2022 at the age of 88 years. Left to mourn is his common-law spouse of 25 years, Hazel Connolly; his children Phillip (Pamela), Gale (David), Peter, Heidi, Ted and David (Shannon); his grandchildren: Miranda (Grant), Mitchell (Heather), and Robin, Shane, Ian and Adrienne (CJ); Ned, Elizabeth (Ryan), and Rebecka; Aaron and Heather; Brook, Julia and Ashley; his stepchildren Justin (Becky) and Jennifer; his great-grandchildren Christena, Paige and Maddison; Dominic and Raiden; Emily and Austin; his sister-in-law Marina; his many nieces and nephews; as well as friends and neighbours. He was preceded by William Roger Motty and Ethel Barnes Motty, and his brothers, Cyril and Hubert (Florence).

As per Edward's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family of Edward may pay their respects at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, April 29th, 2022 at 1:00 PM, from where a funeral service will take place at 3:00 PM with Rev. Cynthia Haines Turner officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. The family is requesting that masks be worn for both services.

We would like to express our utmost gratitude to Dr. Robert O'Driscoll, Dr. Farzaneh, Dr. Carrie, Dr. Ralph, the 4 ^th floor nursing staff and diagnostic staff at Western Health.
