Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 94 th year, Edna Mary Casey (nee Kearney) on Saturday, February 18 th , 2017. We are comforted knowing she will re-unite with those gone before her, including, her husband of 69 years, John (June, 2015); grandson, Bryan Norman (October, 2011); parents, Timothy and Ellen (Drudge) Kearney; sister, Gertrude (William); brother, Dennis; parents and brothers and sisters-in-law. Mom was born in Croque, NL, the last surviving member of her family and generation, and moved to Conche when she married. Our parents spent their senior years in Pasadena, and moved to Deer Lake Manor in 2014. In her words, she valued her family and faith more than gold; content in her home and always there. While she will be missed beyond measure, Mom will continue to guide and watch over her family from her Heavenly Home. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Helen Norman (Roy - deceased), Kay O'Connor (Patrick), Shirley Purchase (Wayne - deceased), Donna Foss (Carl), Gary and Linda Mishimagi (Tomo); nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Rod), Janice, Adrian (Laura), Kim (Matt), Laura, Andrew (Nicole), Shannon, Nicolas and Tatiana; five great-grand-children: Samantha, Holly, Nikki, Taylor and Abby; nieces, nephews, relatives, special neighbors, friends, and her 'family' at Deer Lake Manor. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Parish Centre in Pasadena on Monday, February 20 th , 2017 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21 st , 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Reception to follow at Holy Rosary Parish Centre. Mom will be laid to rest at a later date, next to our Dad and her grandson, Bryan, in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, North Harbour Road, Pasadena. Flowers graciously declined.
