It is with great love and remembrance that the family of Douglas "Doug" Reginald Wayne Gibbons announces his peaceful passing at home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 83.

Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) Gibbons, infant daughter Nicole, his parents Harold and Edith Gibbons, and brothers Irving and Henry Gibbons.

Forever remembered and loved by his daughter Darlene, siblings Audrey George and Harold Gibbons, grandchildren Gabrielle and Noah, along with a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who always kept a close eye.

Doug found peace at his cabin in York Harbour and treasured his visits to New Brunswick with his daughter and grandchildren. An avid reader, Doug always had a book close at hand, and those who knew him well will remember his unmistakable sweet tooth, never one to turn down a treat.

A proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Doug valued tradition, and community. His steady presence, gentle humour, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As per Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will follow.
