It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Douglas Allen announce his passing at his residence on Monday, February 8, 2021, at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters: Tanya (Collin) and Sabrina (Todd). His companion Shelley House. His grandchildren Jenna, Joshua and Nicholas. His brothers and sisters Marlene (Bert), Derek (Delores), Wally (Bev), Glenys (Fred), Linda, Bill, Elizabeth (Jim), Baxter (Gaye), Gloria and Byron, as well as his in-laws, many nieces, nephews; Shelley's children Tyler, Brittany and the House family. Doug was predeceased by his wife of 35 years Dianne (nee Kennedy), his parents Marion and John (Jack) Allen, his mother and father-in-law Evelyn and John (Jack) Kennedy, infant baby sister Gloria, brother-in-law Arch Park. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2021, from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel,  where the service will take place Friday, Feb 12, 2021, with the Very Rev. Kay Short officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Patricia. Our family would also like to thank Country Haven Funeral Home, Dr. O'Driscoll, Dr. Coleman, Dr. Pochini, Dr. McCarthy, Dwayne Greenham, Brian White as well as the Chemo, Radiation and Palliative Care Units for showing such compassion and care for Dad. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are accepted or donations in memory of Doug can be made to a charity of one's choice.
