Dorothy "Dot" Lillian George

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Lillian George announce her passing on Tuesday, June 30th at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit at the age of 75 years surrounded by family and friends. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family, who were the light and love of her world. Dorothy will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and as a woman of faith who was active both in her church and community. She was a pillar of strength to all in her life and provided a foundation where family was protected, supported, and cherished. Her kindness, wisdom, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her children, Julie George (Clayton Hickey) and Dwayne George (Sherry); her beloved grandchildren, Brittany Morgan (Adrian), Kaitlin Smith (Brandon), Claudia George, and Zachery George; and her treasured great-granddaughters, Lilly Morgan and Charlie Morgan. She also leaves to mourn her lifelong family friend, Patrick Byrne.

Dorothy will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends, all of whom will cherish the memories they shared with her.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery Fund.
