The family of the late Donald E. Locke wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness shown to our family during this very difficult time.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the visitation and funeral service to pay their respects and share special memories of Don, about how he was such a remarkable man. Your kind gestures, words, and presence were a wonderful comfort through out this journey. Thank you for all the cards, phone calls, food, prayers, and donations made in Don's memory. Thank you to Majors Brian and Valerie Wheeler for a beautiful service. Don's daughter, Sharon, and granddaughter Sydney; for the readings. Thank you to his brother, Bill, for his beautiful tribute to a man well loved. Thank you to Dennis Barnes for playing Don's favourite music.

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Western Long-Term Palliative Care unit, Dr. Lafferty, and all the paramedics who were always available to see to our needs; you are all wonderful, amazing people. A very special thank you to Don's two homecare workers, Sherry and Vicky, who always went above and beyond for his needs. He loved them dearly. Many thanks to all of our family and friends who helped prepare food, and helped with the reception at the funeral home following the service; and to those who sent meals and food to the house.

Thank you to Dwayne Parsons and his staff at Country Haven Funeral Home for all of your help, kindness, and professionalism shown to our family.

Don was a beautiful man who loved to read from his large selection of material, play his guitar, and sing songs around the campfire with Kevin. He also enjoyed a good cigar with Alan and his friends.

We'll keep his memory alive doing all the things he enjoyed. He will certainly be missed at the campground around the fire.

Forever grateful.

-Bride and family.
