It is with great sadness that the family of the late Derek Clayton Sparkes announce his passing at Western Long Term Care (Palliative) on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Judy (Nee Hamlyn) of 49 years. Children; Joan White (Paul Boots) and Jason (Terri). Grandchildren; Brady and Brayden. His fur baby Zoey. Sisters; Mae Thornhill and Margo Sparkes as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Derek was predeceased by his grandson Tyler White. Parents Hayward and Edith Sparkes. Sisters; Greta, Joyce and Jean. Brothers; Sydney, Willoughby and Harry. As per Derek's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 from the hours of 2-4, 7-9 pm from where a funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 22nd, 2021, at 2 pm with Rev. Kay Short officiating. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to mental health in memory of his grandson Tyler White.
