Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on October 4, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital, in Kitchener, ON at the age of 78.

Loving brother of Raymond (Joan), Nelson (Barbara), Wayne (Patricia), Neil (Shelly), Valetta Pinder, Valda (Glenn) Wheeler, Carol (David) Sztorc.
Predeceased by his parents Doyle & Ella Mills and his brother-in-law Gerald Pinder.
Derek will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In keeping with Derek's wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be going home to Corner Brook, NL. Arrangements entrusted by Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener, ON, 519-749-8467.
