It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Patrick Kennedy announce his passing in the comfort of his home on August 12, 2023 in his 68th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 46 years: Barbara; his two children: Steven (Kody), and Lindsay (Leon); his two grandchildren: Knightley and Daeton; three sisters: Marie, Marjorie Deckert, and Joan; his two brothers: Tony (Diane), and Joseph; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Dennis is predeceased by his parents: Jane and Bernard Kennedy; three brothers: Edward, Cyril, and James; and three infant children.

God blessed Dennis with the gift of being an incredible finished carpenter. His work and unbelievable attention to detail can be seen not only in his own home, but the homes of many others, Immaculate Heart of Mary school, and countless projects and designs for friends and family. Dennis could take any idea for a project and turn it into reality. He took so much pride in creating for other people.

Dennis was an avid hunter and enjoyed many trips into the cabin (The Do Drop Inn) with his kids, grandson, brothers, nephews, and many friends. Dennis was a best friend to many and beloved by all who met him.

At his request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at All Hallows Parish, Humber Road, Corner Brook. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Dennis Kennedy's name to the Community Mental Health Initiative.
