It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Jeffrey Callahan announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, August 10th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife: Ina Callahan (nee. Howell); his daughters: Karen Neely, and Kim Callahan (Dee-Patel); 5 grandchildren: Carson, Ethan, Amanda, Zach, and Matt; Ina's children: sister: Pam (Gary); brothers: Gerve, Howard (Ruth), and Joe; best friend, and cousin: Gary (Chinny) and Betty; sister-in-law: Patsy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Jeff is predeceased by his parents: Agnes and John Callahan; sister: Mary Mitchell; brother: Jack Callahan; brother-in-law: John Mitchell; and sisters-in-law: Marg Callahan, Fern Callahan, and Lorraine Callahan.

At his request cremation has taken place. There will be an interment service at Mount Patricia Cemetery, on Monday, August 14th, 2023 at 2 PM with Bishop Van Roijen officiating. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Jeff's memory to your local SPCA.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Western Memorial Regional Hospital, and the Palliative Care Unit for taking such good care of Jeff during his time of need. It will never be forgotten.
