Deana Doreen
Keetch
August 30, 1963 – August 25, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Deana Doreen Keetch announce her peaceful passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at the age of only 60 years, after a six-year long battle with a young onsetting form of Alzheimer's Disease. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband: Paul Keetch; daughter: Natasha Dobbin (Dean); mother: Marie Colbourne; sisters: Phrona (Allan) of Coldbrook, NS, and Sharon of Corner Brook, NL; step-sons: Mark Keetch (Ai), and Paul Jr. (Anjulie) of Vancouver, BC; precious granddaughters: Jaida, and Jamielyn; sister-in-law: Gwen Holloway; and brother-in-law: Blair Keetch (Ran) of Scarborough, ON; as well as a large circle of extended relatives, and many friends.
Deana is predeceased by her husband: Jim Dobbin (1999); her brother: Lloyd Holloway (2014); and her grandmother: Rita Colbourne (1997).
Mom was a beautiful ray of light, with her smile lighting up even the darkest of rooms. Her charming wit captivated all those she encountered. She loved everyone she met, but most of all, she absolutely adored her precious granddaughters. She can rest knowing that her endless light shines on through them continuously. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Psychiatry, 5th Floor-ALC (WMRH), Protective Care Unit, and the DVA Unit of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center for all of your exceptional love and care shown to Deana during her illness. It will never be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. There will be a celebration of life taking place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 from the hours of 7-9 PM. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Deana's memory to your local SPCA.
