It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dean Leonard Park announce his passing at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife: Janice Park; children: Stephen Park, Julie Park (Ted Brake), and Sarah Rogers (Kristopher); grandchildren: Nicholas Park (Kelsey), Noah Park, Grayson Rogers, Owen Park, and Austin Park; brothers and sisters: Amy (Lee-deceased), Max (Barb), Jimmy (Barbara), Wayne, Sharon (Ted), Janet (Terry-deceased), Danny (Sharon), Audrey (Glenn), Peggy (Boyd-deceased), and Paul (Bernice); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends.

Dean was predeceased by his parents: Douglas and Gertrude Park; and his sister: Helen (Park) Blanchard.

The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Nicola Penney, and Dr. Ahmed, for the excellent care and support shown to Dean and his family throughout this very difficult time. Also, to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Western Long-Term Care Palliative Care Unit, and the Corner Brook Cancer Care team for all their efforts. All your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

There will be a visitation taking place at the St. James Anglican Church, Gillams, NL, on Monday, March 17th, 2025, from the hours of 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 with Rev. George Critchell officiating. Cremation to follow, and interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Dean's memory to the church, or a charity of one's choice.
