It is with great sadness that the family of David Butt of Heatherton announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Long-Term Care Facility in Corner Brook on January 22, 2022 at 76 years old.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Susan Butt and brother Glenn. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; his son Christopher Butt, daughter-in-law Lynette Hillier, beloved niece Erin and his cherished dog Zoey. Along with his siblings; Gus (Marilyn), Cliff, Edward, Patricia Hulan and Sarah Summers. The family also wishes to thank David's long-time friends Boyd and Natasha Morris for their friendship and care of David.

Cremation has taken place and as per David's request there will be no visitation or service at this time, interment at take place at a later date.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the Palliative Care team, nursing team on the Medicine unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital and the Nurse Navigator for Cancer Care in the Western Region for their compassionate and professional care. As expressions of sympathy, donations in David's memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
