David Michael
Ashley
October 11, 1987 – December 30, 2024
The family of the late David Michael Ashley are devasted by his sudden and tragic passing on December 30th, 2024 at the age of only 37 years. David was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved a day on the river in Hughes Brook or hunting with his precious dogs. His true loves were his precious children: Annie, who he lovingly called Bubby, and Eli, who he named Bruds. David's happiest moments of life were with his beautiful family. David was a master welder and could fix anything that was broken. He was a proud union brother of the U.A. 740 Pipefitters and the Boilermakers Union.
David will be forever missed and remembered by his children: Annie & Eli; his wife: Mallory; mother Anita (Derrick); father: Dave; brother: Derek (Vic); parents-in-law: Rev. Terry and Vivian Loder; sister-in-law: Stacy Christopher (Fred); favourite nephew: Wesley Christopher; and his best friend: Fish (Stephen Conway); as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 2PM, with Reverends Terry Loder, George Critchell and Malcolm Palmer officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in David's memory to his children's education fund (annieeliashleyeducationfund@outlook.com).
"Your smile was so bright on earth but even brighter in heaven. We will love you forever, Daddy."
