Darcy Kenneth Gale

Darcy Kenneth Gale was born on July 28, 1975, and passed away on June 26, 2026. He spent much of his adult life caring for others, a reflection of his generous heart and steady presence.

Darcy lived as his bold, authentic self, with a strength that those close to him deeply admired. He found joy in simple, meaningful things. He loved to cook, read, and spend time with his family. A devoted cribbage player, he treasured the connection and conversation that came with a good game.

He was predeceased by his Grandfather Gordon O'Leary, Aunt Faith Gavin, and his Uncles Alfred Gavin, Warrick Gale and Baxter Gale.

He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Brenda and Allister Gale; his brother, Oliver Gale; and his sister, Verena Gillam (Allister). He leaves behind his cherished nieces, Shauna, Kayla, Maria, Maggie, and his nephew, Cooper, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Darcy is also lovingly remembered by his aunts Karen O’Leary, Yvonne Brothers (David), Marjorie O'Leary (Ricky), and Linda Molloy (Randy); and his uncles Dennis O’Leary (Daphne), Terry O’Leary (Marilyn), Johnny O’Leary (Hope), Eddie O’Leary, and Paul O’Leary, as well as many dear cousins.

Darcy will be greatly missed by his best friend Ralph Sterling.

Darcy will be remembered for his kindness, his authenticity, and the love he shared so freely with his family and those fortunate enough to know him.

There will be a visitation to take place at the Hampden Pentecostal Church on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from the hours 10:30-11:30 AM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM with Pastor George Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, a donation can be made in Darcy's memory to a chairty of one's choice.
