January 3, 1932 – June 12, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that the family of the late Curtis Gaulton announce his peaceful passing at his residence in Cox's Cove on June 12, 2025 at the age of 93 surrounded by his loving family.
Curtis leaves to mourn his life partner and loving wife of 65 years: Annette (Nettie); his four children: Madonna (Clarence), Mary (Sandy), Marlene (Glenn), and Kirby (Lena); grandchildren Wandalee (Marvin), Bradley (Cheryl), Gavin (Dakota), Janna (Andrew), Garett (Melissa), Dwight (Wilhelmina), Blake (Angela), Kirby (Jodi-Lynn), Logan, and Carter; step-grandchildren: Keil, Desneiges, Kane, Zara, and Vanja; great grandchildren: Kurtis, Jack, Kerri, Kaelen, Austen, Autumn, Acen, Axten, Maggie, Morgan, Phoenix, Jamielyn, Evan, Ava, Andi, and Ethan; step great-grandchildren: Kayden, and Riley; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marjorie, Eva, Nelson (Verna), Jim (Linda), Calvin (Marilyn), and Ina (Byron); his special nephew Edmund; and a special friend: Frank Sheppard; as well as many nephews, nieces and other extended family.
Curtis was predeceased by his parents: George and Annie; son Woodrow and daughter in law Brada; grandson: John Brake; brothers: Joe, Clayton (Gladys), Ross (Caroline), and Freeman; sisters: Goldie (Elias), and Gertrude (Samuel); parents-in-law: Howard and Susannah White; and brother-in-law: Taylor.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Callahan, Community Health Nurse Karla Lavers, Home Support Worker Beverly Wheeler, his grandchildren Angela, Janna, Jodi-Lynn, and Garett who made it possible for dad to stay at home right to the end; thanks to their medical expertise, and a special thank you to all family and friends who have visited the home as dad loved to see people.
There will be a visitation taking place on Sunday, June 15th, 2025 at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox's Cove, from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Monday, June 16th, 2025 with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, a donation may be made in Curtis' memory to the St. Nicholas Anglican Church.
