Cora (Rolls) George, 84 of McIvers passed peacefully away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Born in Bonavista she moved to McIvers to teach where she met her loving husband of 65 years, David George. David is left to mourn with his children David (Dallas), Diane Banks (John) and Lori, grandchildren Sheena (Dan Hlavca), Stephanie (Robert Jeffrey), Annette (Andre Charlebois), David (Jennifer), Lindsi, Sarah and Aaron. Great grandchildren David, Jenny, Dawson and Eleanor. She also leaves behind her sister Marie in Bonavista, in laws Emma (Eric Lovell), Foster (Pauline), Raymond (Millie), Gloria (Benny Wells) and Arch Legge. She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Mae Rolls, parents in law Silas and Jenny George, sister Mary Legge, brothers Thomas and Lloyd, in-laws Millie Park, Lillian Matthews, Ronald George. At Cora's request, cremation has taken place. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions there will be a private family service and interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice.
