October 25, 1989 – November 6, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Colin Downey announce his passing at his residence in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the age of 27 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents Ronald and Barbara Downey; brothers Michael (Michelle) and David (Amanda); grandmother Bridget Downey; aunts: Frances, Joan (Peter), Barbara (Dale), Eileen (Brian), Deborah, Coleen (George), and Rosanne; uncle Cyril; as well as a large circle of cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Winona Kroc; his grandfather Aloysius Downey and grandparents Amedio and Frances Franciotti. In keeping with Colin's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Memorial Visitation will take place from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, November 18, 2016 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery in Codroy Valley. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Corner Brook Minor Hockey Association, the Corner Brook Baseball Association or the charity of one's choice.
