It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clayton Stewart Short announce his passing on December 27 ^th , 2022 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit at the age of 93 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son: Darryl (Cindy); daughter: Carla Porter (Danny); grandchildren: Justin Short (Claire), Jeremy Short (Audrina), Sarah Fellingham (Danny), Allan Porter (Jessica), Kristina Tulk (Fred); great-grandchildren: Keagan Short, Erik Tulk, and Evelyn Tulk; brother: Robert Short; sister-in-law: Mary Companion (Ed); brother-in-law: Ray Hynes (Marion); as well a large circle of other relatives, and many friends, as well as his special friends at Mountainview Retirement Home.

Clayton is predeceased by his wife, Rose (Hynes); sisters: Laura Jean Douglas, Vyella Parsons, Geraldine White, Barbara Osborne, Madeline Gordon, Gertie LeRiche, and Marjorie MacDonald; and his brothers: Lindsey Short, Earl Short, and John Charles Short.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, December 28 ^th , 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 29 ^th , 2022 at 2 PM at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive, with Rev. Mickton officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Clayton's memory to the St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Boulos, Dr. Lafferty, Dr. Dunn, as well as the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit and the staff of Mountainview Retirement Center, for their care and compassion shown during Clayton's stay.
