March 16, 1956 – September 28, 2023
Surrounded by his loving family, Clarence Anthony Callahan passed peacefully and was reunited with the love of his life, Kathleen, on Thursday, September 28th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care unit in his 67th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children, who were his world: Penny Warren, Tracy Wilton (Robert), and Clary Callahan (Leah); his beloved grandchildren, who he cherished and adored and was so proud of: Nathan, Joshua (Bethany), Abby (Kevin), Brady (Alicia), Cameron (Danika), Robbie, and Bethany; his great-granddaughter: Blaire; dear mother: Clara Callahan; brothers and sisters: Donna Hann (Keith), Debbie Short (Bill), Barbie Whitehorne (Bob), Laura Whitehorne (Doug), Jimmy Callahan (Vivian), Mark Callahan (Lori), Billy Callahan (Bernita), Pat Callahan (Lisa), and Judy Gillis (George); brothers-and sisters-in-law: Gerve Callahan, Loretta Strowbridge (Jim); and Pop's precious pups: Hunter, Moo-moo, and Chungus; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Clarence is predeceased by his loving wife: Kathleen Callahan (nee. House); his father: Clarence Callahan Sr.; mother and father-in-law: Marion and Gordon House; brother-in-law: Austin; sisters-in-law: Margaret and Marion; and daughter-in-law: Toni.
There will be a visitation held on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Cremation to follow. There will be no funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Clarence's memory to the Janeway. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, and to Dr. Lethbridge, for their exceptional care and compassion shown during our fathers time of need. It will never be forgotten.
