It is with great sadness the family of the late Clara Edith Piercey announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on November 15th 2024 at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are, her children; Brian Piercey (Leanne), Dwayne Piercey (Andrea Suffredine). Her Grandchildren; Jeremey Piercey, Zakarij Major-Piercey (Savina Hussey), Sharyssa Archer(Jordan), Jerremy Lewis (Josee), Breanna Lewis (Rylee Watchorn). Her Great-grandchildren; Airriana and Esme Archer. Brothers; Henry Brown (Karen), and Howard Brown (Dorothy). Sisters; Doris O'Dell, Margaret Crawford (Doug), Vera Sampson (Ron), Linda Locke, Angela Hase, and Gloria Brown (Frank). She is predeceased by her parents; Arthur and Rita Brown and her brothers; Will and George Brown.
Clara enjoyed the outdoors, she was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time caring for her garden and loved her flowers. Her favorite spot was the trailer at Birchy Lake. She would spend countless hours outside berry picking, feeding birds, and she dearly enjoyed fishing. For Clara, her family and time spent with them was important. She was the mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking for her family it was a hobby and a joy for her and no Christmas was complete until the trays of cookies, made by Clara, showed up to be sampled by all in the house. She will be dearly missed, but never be forgotten.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Claire's hospital in St. John's and Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook for the care provided to their mother during her time in both facilities.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church.
