Brenda Joan Young

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Joan Young (nee. Pike) announce her passing on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit at the age of 78 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband: Gerald Young; son: Kenny Young (Amanda); special friend: Cindy; brother: Eric Pike (Marlene “Sam”); sisters: Karen Bullen (Tony), Pamela Pennell (Junior), and Goldie Buck; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents: Joseph and Blanche Pike; parents-in-law: Richard and Maria Young; sisters: Linda Pittman, and Lorraine Young (Bruce); brother-in-law: Doug Buck; and her nephew: Darren Bullen.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, a donation can be made in Brenda’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (https://alzheimer.ca/).
