It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bessie Gleason (Holloway) announce her passing on November 9th at the age of 80 years.  She passed peacefully away in her sleep at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for 9 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and cherished memories, her devoted and loving husband Roy of 53 years, daughters: Juanita Lane (Larry), Teena Donnelly (Mark) and Tammy Langdon (Ivan).  Five precious grandchildren: Kandy, Scott, Devon,  Danielle and Matthew. Great Grandchildren Bailey, Gavin and Naomi.  Her siblings: Winnie, Noah, Melvin, Pearl, Alma, Rex (Janice), Bond (Linda), Randy (Darlene), Edna, Allan, Christine, and last, but certainly not least, her beloved sister Louise Humber (Gus) who was the most amazing sister and caregiver to the very end. She will be missed by too many nieces and nephews to count. Her dear friend Gladys was always there to chat and go to Tim's with.  Predeceased by her parents Levi and Elizabeth Holloway, brothers Nelson and Dorman. Over the past 9 years, Mom saw countless doctors and nurses and was always treated wonderfully which helped her deal with her illness. We have to send a very special Thank You to Doctors Greenland and Rorke at the Cancer Centre in St. John's. Their compassion, honesty and expertise during the course of her illness are the reason we were able to have Mom with us for as long as we did. Colleen Carey at Dr. Thistle's office in Corner Brook who helped mom too many times to count over the years. Mom thought the world of her. She was only in Palliative Care for a few hours, but the care she received by Dr. Lafferty and her team was exceptional.  Cremation has taken place as per her request. Interment will follow at a later date.  Memorial donations in honour of Bessie Gleason can be made to a charity of one's choice.  You will be in our hearts forever! 💞
