The family of the late Bernita Callahan would like to thank those who came to Bernita's memorial service.  Your attendance and support made and continues to make a huge difference during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing the celebration of Bernita's life with us. You were a true friend to Bernita and will always be part of our family.

Its with great sadness that the family of the late Bernita Callahan announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on February 19th, 2025 at the age of 60 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband; William Callahan.

Her children; Benjamin Callahan and Dylan Callahan (Emily).  Her Grandchildren; Logan and Chloe. Step-grandchildren: Emma, Lily, and Yvonne; and Her mother; Effie House.

Her sisters; Suzanne Blanchard, Loretta Park, Eleanor House (Greg), Cathy Au (Michael), Lorna House (Anthony) and Phoebe House (Geoff). Her mother-in-law; Clara Callahan. Her sisters-in-law; Judy Gillis (George), Donna Hann (Keith), Debbie Short (Bill), Barb Whitehorne (Bob) and Laura Whitehorne (Doug). Brothers-in-law; Jimmy Callahan (Vivian), Mark Callahan (Susan) and Pat Callahan (Lisa). As well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and many other friends.

She is predeceased by her father; Abraham House and her father-in-law; Clarence [Midge] Callahan. Her brother-in-law Clarence Callahan and sister-in-law Kathy Callahan.

There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral home on Sunday February 23rd 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday February 24th 2025 from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 11AM with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Cremation to follow and the interment will take place at a later date. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
