Obituary

Heaven has gained another angel. It is with deep sorrow and immense love, that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Beatrice Margaret Woods, at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit on July 15, 2025 at the age of 77 years. Beatrice was surrounded by love as her life's journey ended and she slipped quietly away from us, into the arms of Jesus. Beatrice leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Darlene (Quinton), Michelle (Richard), and Trudy (Eric); her only son: Benny (Jessica); grandchildren: Erica, Kayla, Richard Jr., Bo, Johnathon, Sabrina, Christopher, Dylan, Terri, Mitchell, and Brooklynn; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers: Junior (Loretta), Brian (Dianne), Gary (Angie), and Carl; sisters: Maude (Don), Bonnie (Ernie), Cora (Don), Audrey (Hilary), and Sharon; as well as a large circle or nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Beatrice was predeceased by her partner: Jerome; parents: Pius and Genevieve White; sister: Iona; brothers: Wayne (Jack), Leonard, Kenneth, and Darren; Baby White; great-granddaughter: Angel Rose; great-grandson: Desmond; nephew: Darren Woods; and niece: Glenda LeRoy.

Beatrice truly loved her "Friday night special", she enjoyed cooking and coloring by number for adults. Everyone enjoyed mom's fruitcake at Christmas time, as it never lasted longer than that.

In following Beatrice's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Benoit's Cove, with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at the Old Roman Catholic Cemetery, Benoit's Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Beatrice's memory to the Canadian Lung Association (https://www.lung.ca/).

The family wishes to extend a very heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit, and of WMRH, for their exceptional care and support shown to Beatrice during her time of need.

"Ever Remembered, Ever Loved"

Following the funeral service and interment, all are welcomed to join the family in the Our Lady Star Church basement for refreshments.
