It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beatrice Rose Attwood announce her peaceful passing on Monday, August 14th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in her 82nd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Brian Attwood (Margaret), Penny White (Kerry), and Paula; precious grandson: Derek Attwood; brother: James Dennis (Elizabeth); nieces: Kelly, Susan, and Jackie; and nephews: Doug, and Christopher; as well as a large circle of other relatives, and many friends.

Rose is predeceased by her husband: Derek (1997); parents: Augustus and Hilda Dennis; mother and father-in-law: Stewart and Cora Attwood; two brothers: Gerald Dennis and David (Davey) Dennis; sister: Sylvia Hann (Calvin); sister-in-law: Madeline Rideout (Gerry).

Residents of Corner Brook would know Rose as the TV lady/baby picture lady at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. She was involved with the Canadian Diabetes Association in the western region for many years, and helped her daughter Paula with her canteen, "Paula's Place", at the CIBC building for 19 years.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, August 21st, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 at 2 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Kay Short officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Rose's memory to the Diabetes Association (https://www.diabetes.ca/), or the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca/en/).
