It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Barry Roy Mercer (formerly of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL) at his residence in Fort Saskatchewan, AB on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at the age of 66 years. Barry is predeceased by his father, Roy Newell Mercer (1989); sister: Debra Mercer (1989); step-mother: Barbara F. Mercer (1993); mother: Grace Pelley (2014); and his grandparents: John and Marion Mercer, who were instrumental in his upbringing; as well as several aunts and uncles.

Barry leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his sister and brother-in-law: Kathryn and Faren Blanchard; niece and nephew: Deborah, and Bradley; great-niece and nephew: Rebecca and Reece; his special aunt: Helen Hutchcraft (Mercer); as well as many extended family members and friends.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place in Barry's hometown of Grand Fall-Windsor at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dwayne Parsons of Country Haven Funeral Home for his guidance and support provided to Kathy and the family during this very difficult time.
