It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barbara Christine Wilton announce her peaceful passing at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit on May 5th, 2024 at the age of 68 years, surrounded by her family. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her partner of 47 years: Rene Companion; her daughters: Nicole (Adam), and Jennifer (Richard); grandchildren: Colton, and Austin; sisters: Donna (John), Mary (Norm), Shirley (Otis), and Allison (Chris); brother: Gord (Brenda); sisters-in-law: Sandra (Merlin), and Gloria (Todd); and her life long friends: Mary Hawkins, and Kirby and DuLeina Spence; as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents: Ronald and Irene (Elkins) Wilton; brothers: Eric and Bob; and brother-in-law: Ross.

The family of Barbara would like to express their deep appreciation to her personal care workers: Tracy & Yolanda, the Western Memorial Hospital doctors, nurses, paramedics & staff, Medicine Shoppe Chris Randell & staff, Dr. Whitten, Dr. Lafferty and the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit Staff.

As per Barbara's request cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to one's charity of choice.
