It is with great sadness that the family of the late Audrey Amy Brake (nee. Lovell) announce her passing on September 11th, 2026 at her private residence, at the age of 78 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her partner: Dan Parsons; her children: Deanne Bond (Wayne), Lisa Christopher (Blair), Marie Korn (Heinz), and Robert Brake (Lauri); grandchildren: Tyson (Falisha), Tyrone (Trang), Brittany, Brandon (Amanda), Randi (Donald), Nikki (Mitch), Anthony (Oanh), RJ, Hunter (Leah), and Madison (Jake); great-great-grandchildren, whom she cherished with her whole heart: Aaliyah, Olivia, Levi, Kali, Brinnley, Penny, Benny, Peyton, Walker, Mason, Aubrey, and Owen; siblings: Derek Lovell (Christine), Foward Lovell (Diane), Garland Lovell (Agnus), Monty Brake (Gloria), Joan Hann (Clarance), Randy Brake (Veda), and Trudy McAuley (Shawn); brother-in-law: Roderick Osmond; her special friends: Madonna and Clarence Brake; and her extended family: Terry (Lori), Todd (Shelley), Tony (Violet), Tj (Jenna), Lilly, and Hunter; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband: Bud Brake (2007); parents: Donald and Winifred Lovell; parents-in-law: Frank and Bertha Brake; Bud’s mother: Joan; sister: Bride Osmond; and brothers: Hubert Lovell (Hilda), and Robert “Bob” Lovell.
At Audrey’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends at the Holy Trinty Anglican Church in Meadows, on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at 1 PM, from where the service will begin at 3 PM with Rev. Greg Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Audrey’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association (https://www.lung.ca/), or a charity of one’s choice.
