Annie Pearl
Parsons
October 31, 1944 – May 1, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Pearl Parsons announce her passing on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Loretta Pittman (Dwane), Keith Parsons (Andrea), Valerie Tortorelli (Giuseppe), and Rodney Parsons (Marita); seven grandchildren: Ashley Ryan (Darren), Meghan Vanelst (Tyler), Mitchell Jordan (Jessica), Adam Sydney (Aiden), and Adrianna; three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Owen, and David; brother: Martin Burton (Eileen); and sister-in-law: Rebecca Fancey (Stan); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Annie is predeceased by her husband: Winston Parsons; her brother: Sam; and sister: Lillian.
Annie was born in Glovertown, NL on October 31st, 1944. She grew up in Fair Island until her family later resettled in Trinity. This is where Annie met the love of her life, Winston Parsons, and they married in December of 1964. From there they had 59 wonderful years of marriage until dear Winstons passing, in January of 2024. Annie was a kind, gentle, and patient woman who devoted her life selflessly to supporting her children and grandchildren. She had a quiet intelligence and loved to write poems and short stories. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home, from where the funeral service will take place at 3 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Mickton officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Annie's memory to the St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, your local SPCA, or the Western Memorial Palliative Care Unit where she was lovingly cared for over the last couple of months in the most beautiful way. She loved them all. We extend to them our deepest, heartfelt appreciation.
