It is with heavy hearts the family of the late Darlene Gillingham, aged 57, announce her sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook NL. on Saturday July 19th 2025.

Darlene was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, niece, aunt and friend.

Darlene leaves behind to mourn her beloved husband of 24 years, Reg Gillingham. Darlene's nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her children; Lorne Murrin (Danielle Healey), Kayla Brake and Anthony Brake (Marisa). Grandchildren; Chase, Teagan, Kaylin, Evee, Abigail, Mathias, Maverick and Memphis. Sisters; Norma Hunt (Lorne), Marlene Galway (Terry), Nicole Murrin and Thelma Cook. Brothers; Rick Murrin (Mary), and Lance Murrin (Jessica). Mother-in-law; Loretta Gillingham. Sister-in-law to Elliot Gillingham (Natasha Caines) and Audrey Gillingham. Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

She is predeceased by her mother; Shirley Murrin (Nee. Anderson). Father; Richard Mathias Murrin. Sister; Marilyn Nova Lee Harding. Brothers; Darren Murrin, Wade Murrin and Perry Murrin. Brother-in-law; Benjamin Gillingham.

Darlene was known for her warm and caring personality. She had a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand to those in need and feed anyone who was around the table with her delicious meals. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Tuesday July 29th 2025 from the hours of 7-9PM. A memorial service to celebrate Darlene's life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 @ 11AM with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Cox's Cove.
