Andrea Bernice
Blake
April 1, 1967 – December 9, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Andrea Bernice Blake announce her passing on December 9, 2025, at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit at the age of 58 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her devoted husband of 20 years: Peter Blake; her two sons: Matt (Bethany), and Jay (Ashley); grandsons: Jake, and Drew; sisters: Doreen, Sadie (Blaine), and Annette (Wayne); nieces, and nephews: Jeremy, Scott, Eddy, Dwayne, Amanda, Mark, Sarah, Erin, and Ben; and her two precious puppies: Oliver, and Gibson; as well as a large circle of other relatives, and many, many friends.
Andrea was predeceased by her parents: Wilson and Marjorie Burton; brother: George (Denise); and brother-in-law: Ed.
Andrea loved life. She loved music. She loved dancing. Most of all she loved people, no matter who they were. She spent many afternoons sitting on the patio with friends listening to her favourite tunes, enjoying the sun, flowers and wildlife, and the birds and insects that she connected with. She truly believed that butterflies were a reincarnation of her mom and would chase them around the garden trying to get a closer view to admire their beauty. The eagles we frequently saw represented her father, always calling out to them with a cheery, "Hi Dad."
Andrea was a shining light in this world and would bring warmth to everyone she met. She was loved by many but will be missed by all. Alzheimer's took her life away, but even at the end she would smile when memories were shared and laugh at the funny stories that family and friends offered up.
Andrea is going to be missed by everyone. The love that she has given the world will shine forever. She can rest easy now that she is at peace and now rid of the torture that Alzheimer's forced her to endure. The memory of Andrea will live on forever in the hearts of everyone she has ever met.
God rest her soul and give her the peace and comfort she so rightly deserves.
There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Country Haven Funeral Home from 1-2:30 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:30 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Andrea's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada (https://alzheimer.ca/en).
