It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amanda E. S. Butt announce her passing on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 in Peterborough, ON at the tender age of 37 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her mother and step-father: Elizabeth Butt & Douglas Hunt; her father: Sean Brake; brother: Richard Butt (Leah); Brother and sister; Noah Brake, Olivia Brake (David). Step-sister; Nancy Prosper (Matthew); nephew: Thomas; grandparents: Shirley and Fred Butt; aunts and uncles: Robert Butt (Marcette) & Braden, Maureen Rolfe (Edwin), Ben Brake (Nonie), Geraldine Meaney (Bryan), Sheila Sheppard (Ray), Gary Brake (Sherry), Greg Brake (Joy), Shannon King (Sean), and Jim Brake; as well as a large circle of other relatives, and many friends.

Amanda is predeceased by her grandparents: John and Effie Brake; step-sister: Krystal Langer; her aunts Margaret Brinston, Karen Wells, Jane Park, Evelyn Vineham, and Helen Snooks; and uncles: Frank Brake and Max Sheppard, Joe Brake, and Gordon Brinston.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held for family and close friends on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 7-9 PM. There will be no formal funeral service at this time. Interment to be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Amanda's memory to your local SPCA or a charity of one's choice.
