It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alonzo Clifford Dewling announce his passing on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his beloved wife of 35 years: Paula; his faithful dog: Bentley, who was with him to the very end; sister: Rhoda; children: Peggy Lee, Donna (Wilf) of Scarborough, ON, Cindy (Dolan) of Corner Brook, NL, Nancy (Rick) of Angus, ON, and Glenn of Corner Brook, NL; 7 grandchildren: Terry-Lynn (Mark), Matthew, Danny, Brian, Kenny, Tyrone, and Zachary; and daughter-in-law: Nancy Dewling; as well as large number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Lonz is predeceased by his parents: Cyril and Sarah (nee. Webster) Dewling; son: Leonard; and brothers: Harvey, and Charlie Dewling.

At his request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 at Mount Patricia Cemetery with Rev. Mickton officiating.

The family wishes to extend a heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of W.M.R.H who were involved with providing the exceptional care and compassion Lonz received during his time of need. It was truly appreciated, and will never be forgetten.
